Modica Beach Resort - Scicli and Punta Secca 2
The locations of Inspector Montalbano

Scicli and Punta Secca

The Sicilian writer Andrea Camilleri chose the Ragusa area to set the stories of his Commissario Montalbano. Thus, today you can visit the filming locations of the famous television series in which he is the protagonist.

Vigata, Montelusa, Marinella do not exist in reality, but only in the novels of Camilleri.

Vigata, in the fiction, is the set of views of different places that are located between the province of Ragusa and Agrigento.

Montalbano's police station in Montelusa, is a palace in Sicli, a beautiful late baroque town in the Val di Noto.

Marinella, where the commissioner's house is located in the TV series, is Punta Secca, a small fishing village 20 km from Ragusa.
